Welcome to Troop 75 and thanks for visiting.
I am very proud to be associated with scouting and truly
believe in the ideals that are attested to. I am especially
very proud of our scouts and the accomplishments that they
have made at a troop and personal level, and to their desire
to help other scouts reach their goals. We pride ourselves
on being a "boy run" troop and teach those skills
to our scouts in order for them to be "boy run".
We pride ourselves on wearing a full class-A uniform to
meetings, but do have a class-B uniform available when we
are working.
Troop 75 is a well-blended mix of older
and younger scouts. We share a common desire to try many
different experiences throughout the year, and do not concentrate
on just one aspect of scouting. Common outings for us would
be to have fun in the sledding and inner-tubing in the snow
during our "Winter Camp", have a ski day in Big
Bear, going to the Freeze-O-Ree camp outing, rock climbing
at Vasquez Rocks, deep sea fishing, attending the Spring
Camp-O-Ree, helping Webelos advance at Scout-O-Rama, attend
a week at Summer Camp, visiting the "Corn Maze",
attending the Lutheran Camp-O-Ree, attending the Edward's
Air Force Base Air Show, and backpacking over the weekend.
We also thank Bethany Lutheran Church and
the Board of Youth for being our charter organization. Without
them, we do not succeed. We therefore believe in giving
back to the church and therefore back to the community as
well. We serve by participating in Scout Sunday, doing flag
opening ceremonies for services, hosting a Lenten Soup Supper,
hosting and serving the Easter Breakfast, putting out American
flags on Memorial Day and Veteran's Day on gravesites, hosting
a food table at the church's "Fun Day", retiring
flag ceremonies, and a toy drive at Christmas.
We hope that you enjoy what you see at
this web site, and if you are a Webelo or a boy scout looking
for a "home", feel free to drop by at anytime
during our meetings.
